Shamrocks Tag Days

Thursday, March 1, 2012 - Saturday, March 31, 2012

Every year our friends come together in support of the boys and girls of Mercy Home through our Shamrocks for Kids Tag Days campaign. It’s a fun and easy way to be part of a solution for kids in crisis.

This year, we need you to help us make March the “Month of Mercy” during Shamrocks for Kids Tag Days. You can support our kids by volunteering to distribute Mercy Home shamrocks.

Ways You Can Help

Volunteer. Distribute Mercy Home shamrocks at parades and local events throughout the city and suburbs. Grab some friends and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day while making a real difference in the lives of hurting kids.

  • Saturday, March 10, 2012—Forest Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade
  • Sunday, March 11, 2012—South Side Irish Parade
  • Sunday, March 11, 2012—Northwest Side St. Patrick’s Day Parade
  • Friday, March 16, 2012—Downtown Tag Day
  • Saturday, March 17, 2012—Chicago St. Patrick’s Day Parade
  • There are many more opportunities to volunteer.  Please check our website for more dates.

Spread the word. Spread awareness about Shamrocks for Kids to your family, friends, coworkers, community groups and others throughout the month of March.  Encourage them to get involved by volunteering their time to help the kids at Mercy Home.

Other ways to help.

  • Distribute Mercy Home Shamrock pins in your office, neighborhood, school or church.
  • Ask your employer to match your donation to Mercy Home’s Shamrocks for Kids campaign.
  • Organize a dress down day in your work place to raise funds for Shamrocks for Kids.
  • Having a party?  Consider selling Mercy Home shamrocks at your annual St. Patrick’s Day gathering.
