Be Part of the Solution. Be a Hero to a Kid in Crisis.
A Mercy Home Hero is someone who not only supports the mission of Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, but also advocates for our kids. A Hero plans an event to raise awareness about Mercy Home and to raise funds to ensure our young people are provided with food, academic support, therapeutic resources, and a safe home.

Here are stories of a few Mercy Home Heroes:
Mary, a mother of two, can’t imagine children growing up without a safe home. That’s why she decided to host a dinner party that benefitted Mercy Home for Boys & Girls – to ensure that every hurting child will have the security, guidance, and love they deserve. Over 50 people attended the dinner which raised enough money to send 10 kids to camp that summer.
Amanda and Tom chose a special way to say thank you to their wedding guests. In lieu of traditional wedding favors, they placed elegant cards on each table announcing that a donation to Mercy Home was made in each guest’s honor as well as in memory of Amanda’s sister Emily, a Mercy Home donor who always held the kids close to her heart.
Shannon was inspired to help Mercy Home after learning about the good work done at the Girls Home in her neighborhood. She brought a Shamrocks for Kids can to her office and asked coworkers to donate to our cause. She then brought the can to her annual St. Patrick’s Day party to spread the word about Mercy Home and collect donations.
