Career Resources

At Mercy Home, we know that finding – and keeping – a job can change our young peoples’ lives. Working makes our children more confident and self-reliant, teaches them to be financially responsible, and gives them skills that they will carry throughout their careers.

We encourage each of our young people age 16 or older to find a job or internship, and in the last year, 89% of our age-eligible kids worked at least part time in businesses such as law offices, retailers, hospitals and restaurants. Furthermore, 94% of our youth who found work in the last year held the same job for at least six months.

Our Career Resources department offers a wide range of job training courses, career fairs and other assistance. Career Resources also provides classes on financial literacy in order to teach our kids how to manage and save their newly-earned money.

We are always interested in expanding the number of career opportunities available to our young people. To refer a job or internship possibility to Mercy Home, please e-mail Steve Ritzema.
